With grandma and granpa

Do you guys know where I am? I am in the US visiting granpa and
grandma and Auntie Heather!

It was a long flight, and I got to watch lots of TV. And in
Washington, I meet my friend Oback Obama.

So far it is good, and it is really great seeing them in person
instead of on the computer. Though at the moment I am still very
jetlagged. While I remain in my usual good mood, my sleeping pattern
is completely out of sync. Today I woke my Papa at 5am, and now it is
afternoon and I am still going strong. Guess it will be an early night
for me today.

My Birthday I

Today I had my first birthday party.... of quite a few.... I guess I will never have as many birthday parties as I'll be having this year. But this one was probably also the saddest one, as I will have to say good-bye to all my friends from the Creche shortly. While I will be seeing my best friends again in the future, there will be a number of kids that I will see only rarely....

Buses and bears...

I went over to Cheryl & Nick's yesterday - they invited us for lunch... Not that I necessarily eat anything anywhere but in the creche, but I still tried some potatoes.... It was the first time that my Papa was there (I previously went there with my Mama), so I needed to show him the whole apartment!

And then we had dessert in the garden, and Cheryl showed me all the fruits and vegetables, which I then of course had to show everybody else! They had strawberries, and baby tomatoes, and Mama tomatoes, and Papa tomatoes.... And we took quite a few very nice pictures!

Later on, my Papa took my bike out - I guess he really wants me to use it. As I really like my Papa pushing me, I continue to pretend that I don't know how to operate this bike, so he doesn't have an option than to continue pushing me.... 

Though every time, I do a little bit more on my own to not discourage him...For the first time, I used my feet, and steered, but that didn't get my Papa off having to push...

Unfortunately though, my Papa is not as motivated anymore and usually stops only after a few minutes.... but oh well, in the end he has to decide whether he rather pushes or carries the bike!

We then went on to a swimming pool in the middle of the park, and I went in there with Cheryl, My Mama and my Papa. Papa and Cheryl even went under the waterfall, but I don't like any water coming from above, so I stayed way clear of it.

We then allowed the girls to relax a little bit, while I went with Nick and my Papa on a bus trip. Nick even had tickets! We explored the whole park, found a frog, escaped the monster, and - last but not least -  discovered a cave - or better two caves: One for Mama bear and one for Baby bear.

Baking for my Birthday!

Guys, I am baking.... it's for my birthday party ate the Creche..... My last birthday that I will celebrate there before going to school :-)

Long day

Yesterday,we really had lots to do. We were invited to a total of five BBQs! And we made two of them...

After I did the shopping with my Papa, we went to the library, and I was allowed to take out six books! And because I was much faster than my Papa, I helped him to choose books for him. Though my Papa is still wondering why - among all the books available there - I choose books meant for kids at least 6-12 month younger than I am...

In the afternoon, I biked with Papa to a playground in Veyrier, where we also later on went to the first BBQ at David & Marcha's place.

Afterwards, we went to the second BBQ at Ben's, my Papa's boss. I played all evening long with David (his son) and Emma (my Papa's co-worker Nathalie's daughter), and best of all was the trampolin!!! Despite the fact that David is two years and Emma three years older than I am, we did very well toghether.

We only returned at midnight, and I was so tired that I fell asleep in the car!

It was hot...

... really hot at Yatouland. There were lots of bouncy castles, almost too many for too little girls like Marilena and me. And we initially couldn't really go on any - it was so hot that when you went on the plastic, it simply burned your feet away.... so we went to the cinema after a while, then watched a Magician and ate ice-cream.

And I got to drive a car - the first time in my life all by myself! I was a bit scared, but my Papa told me that I could do it, and he promised that he would come and help me if I ran into any troubles....

When it later on finally got colder and it could have been fun to jump a bit, Marilena hurt her leg, so we couldn't go anymore...

But that wasn't so bad either: Marilena came to my place with me, and we spend the whole afternoon together playing with my toys!

Do they stay all daytime in heaven?

I have been watching the Michael Jackson Memorial with my Mama, and she had to explain me quite a lot. I knew that when you die you go to heaven with all the angels, but I did not know that you would stay there all daytime!

But they had lots of flowers there, so when Michael comes back, he can see them.

Finally: New "old" photos...

My Papa finally completed uploading all the pictures for the past two years, starting in January 2007. Now you can see even more of me (if you are not already bored of it....). Among others, you'll be able to see my Christmas vacation in America, my trip to Bali, Cherry & Nicks' wedding, and my trip to Austria!

Lots and lots and lots of new photos! And my Papa promised me that he will also upload the photos from when I was young soon...
