Christmas in America!

We went to see my Grandma, my Grandpa, and Auntie Heather for Christmas! And I got to do what everybody should do when visiting Santa Fe - I got to ride on a really old train. But my train was special: It was a Christmas train, so Santa Claus was on board as well. And he didn't forget presents!

There was again quite some snow - not as much as last year, but still my mom went out to clean the street...

I first wondered why Papa didn't do it, but then the snow was all gone the next day - guess Papa didn't think that it would be worthwhile doing if in the end nature would take care of it anyway!

But I think that Mama had fun doing getting some extra exercise done!

And then came the big moment: I went to the mall to see Santa Claus! Even though I already visited Santa Claus last year, he did not recognize me.

On the other hand, I was quite afraid last year. This year was better: While I was still a bit uncomfortable being so close to Santa Claus, I still enjoyed it  - though I will probably never figure out why Santa Claus lives in a mall.....

One more important thing that I should mention: Santa Claus also had a big Christmas tree - and a carousel! As you may guess, I rode on it quite a few times!

Then the big day came: Santa Claus put lots of stuff into my stockings! Among other things a fatastic mug, which I know I will use for years to come....

And then I got even more presents later that day! Guess what: Even a Dora backpack, complete with map, compass and a video camera! Can you believe it? Aren't I a lucky girl?

And the fun continued: We went on a big sled that was so big that there was a horse pulling it! We went around in it for quite some time - though honestly I would have enjoyed it more if it hadn't been that cold!

I also visited a kids museum, and that was great as well.
